Wie jetzt bekannt wurde, ist die Sängerin Rosalind Ashford bereits am Dienstag in Michigan gestorben. Sie wurde 83 Jahre alt. Ashford war Gründungsmitglied der Motown-Girlgroup, die vor allem für ihre zeitlosen Soul-Pop-Songs bekannt war. Sie sang auf mehr als 20 der Top-40-Singles der Gruppe in den R&B-Charts. Mit dem Nummer-1-Hit „Heat Wave“ erhielt die Gruppe 1964 eine Grammy-Nominierung - als erste Motown-Gruppe überhaupt. 1995 wurden "Martha and the Vandellas" in die Rock & Roll Hall of Fame aufgenommen.
