PhArt? Philadelphia Museum of Art kehrt zum alten Namen zurück

    Diese Aktion war für den - pardon - Allerwertesten: Vor nur vier Monaten hatte sich das Philadelphia Museum of Art umbenannt in Philadelphia Art Museum. Doch der neue Name sorgte für Spott und Hohn. Zeitungen erfanden die Abkürzung PhArt, Ph für Philadelphia und Art für "art", also Kunst. Zusammen ausgesprochen wird daraus leider "Phart", was übersetzt soviel wie "Furz" bedeutet. Vorstandsmitglieder, Mitarbeiter und Publikum waren laut dem Portal ArtNews nicht erfreut. Jetzt machte das Museum einen Rückzieher und kehrte zum historischen Namen "Philadelphia Museum of Art" zurück, der die Institution seit Generationen prägt.
