Electronic Animisms | Echoes as Messengers by Yannick Dauby (played live by Islands Songs)
Echoes as Messengers by Yannick Dauby (played live by Islands Songs)
This YNK chapter explores the animated imaginaries of fellow sound artist and musicians. The piece that will be played live today is a recomposition of "Echoes as Messengers," an originally four channel piece by the French born and Taiwan based sound artist Yannick Dauby. In it, he explores the echolocation of bats, more concretely the ultrasonic voices of the Japanese House Bat, that he recorded in Taipei in 2015 and transformed with the help of analogue electronics and digital processing. (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiokunst)

Based on a True Story, Chapter IX (45 Min., 42 Sek.)

The War of the Worlds (47 Min., 53 Sek.)
